Happy.Valentines.Day

I really wish matt were home today to celebrate valentines day with!  He is out doing clinical hours though and i had school from sun up til sun down so there wasn't much to work with.  Although we don't have the money to get each other anything its still nice to spend the day with him and besides, it was two years ago from today that matt proposed so it will always be an EXTRA special day!

 i can't believe its been that long already, it feels like yesterday i was out on our first blind date that we knew from the moment we saw each other that it was love at first sight!  hahaha not... we had a rough start but it is such a fun story to tell now :)  ever since our second date however, we have been spending every moment possible with each other!

i will never forget our first date, our first kiss, our first dance, the first time we said I love you, the weekend we decided that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, the day he proposed, the day i married my best friend in the whole entire world for time and eternity, and every moment since that he has made me so proud to call him my husband!  I love you unconditionally and am so happy he has been able to learn to put up with me :)

I know your not here to spend this day with me but i wanted to let you know how much I love you and how much i appreciate everything you do for me. you have made being your wife the easiest job in the world!  You truly are my best friend!

Grandpa.Jolley

Yesterday was my dear grandpas funeral.  He was such an amazing man, left behind an amazing family, and will always be remembered for his hard work, great stories, and fun personality.  

He was a man of the outdoors, he loved spending time fishing, camping, hunting and mostly horseback riding.  He cherished his sweet wife, Barbara Jolley, and loved her every minute until the very end.  

We are all going to miss him so very much but we know he is in a happier place, free from suffering. Can't wait to see you again Grandpa, I love you and will miss you :)

My summer seemed to be going by way too fast and i hadn't really even done anything fun  until August came around and then it was the start of everything.  My good friend Sami Tillotson (still is so weird calling her that) got married and it was such a beautiful wedding!  And on top of that we all got to dance the night away which brought back some great memories and was the perfect way to end the night :)  Congratulations to Sami and Blake,  we hope you guys have a happy life together and enjoy it to the fullest.

The next morning was great because I left for my summer vacation to Lake powell :)  I got to spend some fun times with Kelsey and Lindsay, which i LOVED because it doesn't happen very often anymore where they live in cedar city...   we enjoyed soaking up the sun, crazy tubing rides because lindsay ate a little too much of Ken's trail mix ;) and working out to insanity in the morning and playing games through the night!

Normally whenever we go to Lake Powell I seem to be bad luck because something always seems to go wrong but this trip was going perfectly until the ride home... after we dropped off kels and linds in cedar about 15 minutes up the freeway we got a flat tire on the boat trailor and waited for what felt like forever for AAA to come and save the day! Problem was fixed and we were back on the road and it was smooth sailing from there on :)  That trip was the perfect way to end my summer!

School came around and it was a bitter sweet feeling, so far its been going great and I am so proud of matt for all the hard work he's already put into the paramedic program,  I LOVE YOU BABE :)  Who by the way celebrated his birthday yesterday!!   He got some great gifts from both of our parents and we were lucky enough to have my family treat us to dinner (which was amazing cuz we don't get big dinners very often anymore) Thank you all very much, you helped make matts big day a million times better!  We love all of you!

annual.family.reunion

just got back today from a weekend filled with fishing, plenty of food, and campfires.  all held in the great outdoors and surrounded by the best family!  although, like many, i do not fully know ALL of my relatives, we had such a great time getting together with everyone and enjoying our time away from everyday life.

even better than that was having the chance to go camping with my family and sharing some laughs, beating shane and bri in a close game of horse shoes, and getting some fun stuff at the auction they hold every year.  we even tried finding a lake close by that we had heard about and after hours of driving found out that it was up the next canyon. as fun as this weekend was, i would be lying if i said i wasn't glad to be home, the shower was calling my name and so we're some episodes of Friends :)

matt and i have been blessed to have such great families on both sides and we truly have such a great time whenever we are with them! we love you all :)

so we've got some catching up to do... me and matt have been married for over a year and i'm finally getting around to the blogging business!  we had a fabulous wedding, honeymoon, and first year :) 

first off, i'm happy to announce that we are still happily married and have finally found ourselves an apartment in Orem to call our home (well at least for the next year) :) matt also got accepted into the paramedic program at UVU and is also currently trying to get a job as a firefighter.  i am finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and will have my bachelors degree in exercise science soon enough and then its graduate program time which means another three years... sheesh! from there we are hoping to move a little further up north and find ourselves a home and a new edition to the family :) and no, that does not mean baby... we are wanting to get ourselves another adorable puppy like we had a short time ago, but this time be able to keep her and love her forever! 

we have the best friends and families in the world and want to say thank you to all of them who have been there for us and helped us out in so many ways over the past year and made it so much fun :) i'm thrilled for all the fun summer weddings coming soon and adventures this next year will bring!!!
